Vice Chair

Zeinab is a pillar of the KW community. Often referred to as Mama Zeinab, she is the Vice President of the African Women's Alliance and is the Client Support Coordinator and Cultural Interpreter at the Sanctuary Refugee Health Centre. She works closely with the medical team in facilitating communication with patients and advising on culturally-sensitive matters. A polyglot, Zeinab has worked as a freelance interpreter in various settings for over a decade. She has also leveraged her skills as a cultural interpreter to represent numerous communities throughout several region-wide initiatives and events.
